1798: The first Methodist services began in Hull. 1816: First Methodist class formed. Services were held in the schoolhouse and town hall. 1881: Church built. 1925: Gould Hall, a new Community Hall for the Hull ME Church, was built. 1968: Hul Village ME Church established a cooperative relationship with Pope Memorial. 1979: Pope Memorial closed and Hull became a dual appointment with Hingham. 1987: Hull began using the Pope Memorial name again. 1998: Hull/Pope Memorial was changed to St. Nicholas.
