MA - Chester - Chester Methodist, 1844-1966 | Theology Library Archives

Scope and Contents: Earliest classes in 1802, but established a church as Chester Factories in 1842, with a building erected around 1845. In 1921, it federated with the Congregational Church to form the United Church of Chester, and the old Methodist church was sold to the Samoset Lodge I.O.O.F. The Methodist society was discontinued in 1966.
