The first preaching was in 1790 which resulted in forming of a class, which was later attached to Hartford Circuit. A society was formed in 1792 and a chapel erected in 1793. By 1839, the church was organised and it became a station. In 1880, the new church building was dedicated. It was later called Lee Methodist Episcopal Church. Author: Uchenna Joan Awa
