William L. Stidger (1885-1949) was a preacher who brought modern marketing and publicity tactics to his crusade to save souls. He taught at Boston University for 20 years while also having a daily radio show. His grandson wrote a biography about him titled Evangelism's First Media Star: The Life of Reverend Bill Stidger.
