Collection Historical Note
In 1842, the Methodist Church was organized, with 14 members and 11 probationers in attendance. In 1852 the church building was bought and raised, a vestry added and renovated. Due to the increase in the members, there was a need for a new church. The cornerstone was laid in1884 and building dedicated in 1886.
